I need somebody... not just anybody... well, actually, pretty much anybody, given the readership of this journal. I have a Curriculum Vitae, which I am about to put on every decent job-hunting website I can find, and then use to apply for every appropriate software job I can find near Cambridge, in the hope of ending up in one of them. Before I do that, I'd very much appreciate feedback about how to improve it. Beer or your preferred alternative is on offer for any useful advice on this. Thanks. |

Last day at work today. Job done, everyone seems happy with it, myself included. I *might* post a link to the result of my efforts when it goes live, if I'm feeling brave (or stupid...) ;-)
Also, I'm through to the next round of STEP... which means I have to go and give my presentation again on Tuesday. Oh, joy.
Also, finally caught up with alt.fan.pratchett (google groups archive). It's fun, very, very odd, and a huge timesink. Especially a particular thread (warning, there's a lot of it), which I thought at the time perhaps I shouldn't read. Still, I suppose it's always useful to hear how other people feel about this kind of thing. |

STEP final project review thing today (they subsidise my placement at HeadRed)... I had to give a presentation, which I think went well. Apparently I'll find out on Monday whether I'm through to the next round. Slightly embarrassing moment when I first turned up... in jeans and T-shirt... and everyone else was in suits. I had to go back and change, which now I think about it is probably why I didn't spot Liam and Rich, who apparently turned up at some point, saw a no-entry sign, hung around outside the door for a bit, and left. Oh well, smeg happens. |
